Supporting Healthy Dating and Sexuality
Adults with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities often face unique challenges related to their social-sexuality. Join Dr. Kat Pheysey (she/her/hers), Disability and Sexuality Specialist for a series of workshops to discuss these potential challenges and learn proactive strategies that help to both promote healthy social-sexuality and reduce the risk of abuse. Time will be made to address specific questions unique to your adult child and a special workshop geared towards parents of members of the LGBTQIA+ community will also be offered.
Session 1: Sexuality + Disability Overview

Part one of our series will dive into an informative exploration of the intersection between sexuality and disability. Gain a holistic understanding of the challenges and opportunities that arise, and learn to approach these topics with confidence and sensitivity.
Session 2: Proactive Tips + Answering Parent Questions

Arm yourself with proactive strategies and expert advice to address your unique concerns. Get ready to tackle your most pressing questions and leave with actionable insights to support your loved one's journey toward healthy relationships.
Bonus Session: For Parents of Queer Adults

We invited parents of Queer adults to a special bonus session where we'll focus on the specific needs of parents of members of the LGBTQIA+ community. Discover ways to provide affirming support and guidance that respects their identity and empowers them on their path to meaningful connections.
